ZKL Single-row conical bearings are demountable, the inner ring with a cage and roller elements and the outer ring are assembled separately. They are manufactured in multiple series. They feature high rigidity, low friction and the ability to transmit high radial and single-direction axial load.
The intensity of the axial load transmitted depends on the size of the contact angle. Through suitable arrangement of a couple of bearings, dual axial load-carrying capacity can be achieved.
The single-row conical bearings are manufactured both in metric and inch dimensions.
The bearings are manufactured with normal accuracy, for seating more demanding in terms of accuracy, or seating with higher rpm frequency, bearings with higher running accuracy are used. It is best suited for use under heavy load and impact load.
They have tapered inner and outer ring raceways between which tapered rollers are arranged.
The Thrust load carrying capacity is largely determined by the contact angle, i.e. the larger the contact angle, the greater the suitability of the bearing to carry higher axial loads.
